Vintage French Side Table Chinoiserie Butterfly Black Lacquer Hollywood Regency.

Direct from England, a striking, hand decorated French chinoiserie side table, richly adorned with multiple size gold-tone butterflies on a deep black lacquered background. 

This table is part of a small group of similarly decorated pieces we have acquired, created by skilled artists, demonstrating superb craftsmanship in a hand-decorated chinoiserie style using a decoupage technique.

The scalloped edge top is richly adorned with decoupage butterflies set against a black lacquered background, resting above a gold-trimmed scalloped apron.  Elegant cabriole legs support the table, joined by arched stretchers to a lower scalloped shelf, also having decoupage butterflies.

The excellent attention to details by the artist gives this stunning table decorative opulence and a beautiful aesthetic, resulting in a sophisticated addition to today’s home, well suited for use as a statement table in any room.
