Antique English Oak Refectory Dining Table Jacobean Double Leaf 10 ft. c1930

Antique English Oak Refectory Dining Table Jacobean Double Leaf 10 ft. c1930.

Direct from England, a magnificent antique English oak refectory dining table with classic Jacobean styling, beautifully figured oak grain, and two extension leaves that expand the table to an impressive nearly 10 feet in length.

The expansive oak tabletop features wide planks with cross-grain breadboard ends, a beveled edge, and distinctive nailhead detailing.

Below the top, a wide apron displays center carvings on each side and raised trim around the lower edges.  Four heavily turned baluster legs, shaped lower side stretchers, and a wide central stretcher complete the table’s distinctive English Jacobean design.

Both extension leaves are beautifully finished to match the original tabletop, maintaining the same rich oak grain and detailing when extended. Cleverly stored beneath the top when not in use, the leaves allow the table to expand to 118”, comfortably seating 10–12 guests for family gatherings and entertaining.

Quality throughout, solid and strong, well built by craftsmen of the period, circa 1930.

Measurements:  30.25” ht. x 78.5” x 35.25”.  Full length with both leaves 118”, almost ten ft.  With one leaf, 98”. Ht. below apron, 25.25”.  Each leaf is 19.5”.
