Set 4 TALL Antique French Dining Chair Barley Twist Renaissance Carved Oak 1890.

Direct from France, an extra TALL set of 4 antique French dining chairs with Renaissance style and opulent carvings, certain to provide Old World charm to any room.

The solid oak, substantial chairs feature ornate Renaissance carvings that include cherubs, florals and scrolls on the open crown of the seatback and framing the entire back splat.  This superb design is continued on the lower chair front, with a substantial open carved band of similar cherubs, florals and scrolls flanking a center urn.

Barley twist columns provide the upper chair supports, each with carved blocks and topped with carved finials.  Barley twist columns continue throughout, with barley twist legs on all sides as well as barley twist side stretchers.

The oval chair back and seats are covered in a classic taupe, textured fabric, with welting to all the edges.

YOU WILL GET 5 OF THESE CHAIRS.  One of them has quite a few repairs, so we’re just including it for free.  It is fine for use, but just not as good condition as the others.

SOLID OAK, well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1890.

Measurements:  51.5” ht.  x 19.5” x 19”.  19.5 seat height. 17.25” across upper back.

 Condition:  These chairs are in good condition with normal signs of age and use, dings, scratches, imperfections; various repairs/glue.  Upholstery replacement is newer. A 5th chair with more repairs is included for free.  Included multiple photos should be considered as an integral part of the description.
