PETITE Antique English Side Sofa Table Barley Twist Drop Leaf Gateleg Carved Oak

PETITE Antique English Side Sofa Table Barley Twist Drop Leaf Gateleg Carved Oak.

Direct from England, a beautiful antique English oak gate leg, drop leaf table with British barley twist legs on the table as well as the gate legs.

Completing its distinctive silhouette, a wide carved band extends around the entire beveled edge tabletop, complementing the English tiger oak grain.

This charming table is a petite size, which is one of the smallest sizes of gateleg tables available (and very hard-to-find). Versatile and functional, the table can be used with either one or both leaves raised or folded down to a slender 13.25” depth.

Well built by craftsmen of the period, with solid oak construction, traditional pegged joints, and a lovely aged patina,  c1900.

Customers and decorators love this charming size, which can be used anywhere in the home or office, as a sofa table, end table, nightstand or breakfast table.  Also superb for condos and apartments…and of course, it perfectly complements any décor, from Victorian, French Country, Jacobean to traditional!

 Measurements:

28.5” height x 24” x 13.25” slender with both leaves down;

24.25” x 24” (one leaf up and extended);

35.25” x 24” oval top with both leaves up and extended!
