Antique French Wine Cabinet Sideboard Renaissance Revival Carved Oak c1890.

Direct from France, an exceptional antique carved oak wine cabinet sideboard richly detailed with bold Renaissance Revival and Black Forest hand carvings throughout.

A carved beveled edge cabinet top rests above the full width carved drawer that features a carved mascaron pull surrounded by cascading grape clusters and scrolling vines.

The cabinet door, clearly created by a master carver, includes a wide carved border framing the elaborate inset panel featuring a vineyard motif of wine baskets, bonnets, grapes, scrolling vines and foliate decoration.

Flanking the ornate door are massive high-relief carved pilasters above hanging foliate and fruit carvings; the lower cabinet is finished with deeply carved molded trim.  Well built by craftsmen of the period, circa 1890.

Measurements:  38.25” Height x 42” Width x 22” Depth.
