Antique French Oak Side Table Barley Twist Sofa Foyer Dark Oak c1900.

Direct from France, with classic French style, a lovely antique French oak side or sofa table! Beautiful oak grain to the top, with a very large, fancy scalloped beveled edge.  Traditional apron, supported by four, thick, hand-turned barley twist legs, with large block joints and over sized, grooved ball shaped feet.

Note the turned “H” stretchers that cross the length of the table and provide a lovely silhouette as well as stability and support.  Well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1900.  This lovely and versatile table has plenty of traditional Old-World Charm and would be excellent for use as a sofa table, side table, console/foyer table, anywhere you need a special accent table.
