Set 4 Antique French Dining Chairs Renaissance Carved Oak Bird Black Forest.

Direct from France, a gorgeous set of 4 antique chairs, heavily carved in Renaissance/Baroque style.  Stunning for a formal dining or French kitchen and with their abundant carvings, excellent as side chairs in any room!  NOTE: two matching arm chairs are available and sold separately.

The solid oak chairs feature ornate crowns with dimensionally carved cartouche and birds in flight on either side.  Large carved finials sit above turned posts, with carved blocks and open carved scrolls framing the center arched splat with tonal beige fabric and brass tack edging.

The wide seats have carved beveled edges and matching tonal beige upholstery with tack trim (added during the years, very clean and suitable for continued use).

Elegant features in the lower chair as well, with carved blocks between the turned legs and stretchers as well as cross stretchers.  Quality construction, well built by skilled craftsmen of the period, circa1890 (upholstery more recent).

Measurements:  44.25” ht. x 18” x 17”.  18.75” seat ht.; 14.75” width across back.

Condition:  These chairs are in very good condition with normal signs of age and use, dings, scratches, imperfections. Upholstery replaced over the years-clean and suitable for use. Included multiple photos should be considered as an integral part of the description.
