Antique French Nightstand Table Cabinet Brittany Breton Marble Barley Twist.

Direct from the Brittany region of France, a very ornate Breton carved nightstand cabinet or end table. 

The gorgeous cabinet has lavish hand carvings throughout (on all 3 sides), and the original veined marble inset top, framed by raised “ship wheel spindle” rail.

Long barley twist legs support the cabinet, and a lower shelf provides more display/storage area and also features triple carved moulding edges above the acorn feet.

The detailed hand carvings on the drawer and door front include a carved inset Breton ship’s wheel on the cabinet door.  Quality throughout, well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1880.

Measurements:  35” ht.  x 17” x 16”.
