19th century Antique English Cabinet Bookcase Carved Oak Pegged Construction.
A beautifully hand carved English cabinet just received on our most recent English container. We love the meticulous details in the carvings as well as the super slender size that provides so many different opportunities for placement in your home.
The large carved crown features a center medallion with a carved bird surrounded by carved florals and foliate. More hand carved bands flank the large door with carved panels. Door opens to reveal a fitted interior cabinet.
Mid level carved trim over the center drawer with scalloped carved apron below, and a lower shelf that provides more display and storage.
A very old, pegged construction cabinet, circa1820, definitely a period piece and probably commissioned or created for a particular occasion.
Measurements: 66” ht. x 24.5” x 13”. TALL and SLENDER!!!
