19th century French Hunt Cabinet Carved Oak Black Forest Lodge Foyer Sideboard.
Directly imported from France, a beautifully hand carved 19th century French “jam” or confiturier cabinet, in a versatile size, perfect for placement in any room and a customer favorite for use as a wine cabinet.
Beveled edge cabinet top over the carved frieze that features a large drawer with raised, carved medallion drawer handle, and carved Black Forest foliate. Full length turned and grooved columns flank the dimensionally carved door panel, having a large carved Black Forest fox amidst foliage, framed with carved trim.
Large, stepped out lower carved moulding on all three sides. Quality throughout; well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1890.
Measurements: 40.75” ht. x 31.5” x 16.25”.
