Set 6 Antique French Dining Chairs Renaissance Carved Oak Lion Baroque Louis XIV.

 Direct from France, a gorgeous set of 6 antique chairs, heavily carved in Renaissance/Baroque style.  Stunning for a formal dining or French kitchen and with their abundant carvings, excellent as side chairs in any room!

The solid oak chairs feature ornate crowns with dimensionally carved lion mask medallions. Large turned finials above the carved posts that feature carved blocks, orbs, scrolls and tack trim inside the upholstered fabric oval splat.

Carvings continue with upper trumpet legs, reeded below, and fabulous carved scroll front stretchers.

Large seats with deep red/burgundy upholstery and tack trim (added during the years, very clean and suitable for continued use).  Quality throughout, well built by skilled craftsmen of the period, circa1890.

Measurements:  44.25” ht.  x 19.25” x 19.25”.  Seat height, approx. 20”.

Condition:  This item is in very good condition with normal signs of age and use, dings, scratches, imperfections. Repairs to two crowns; one leg missing back trim.  Included multiple photos should be considered as an integral part of the description.
