Antique French Louis XV Style Bed Carved Walnut Parisian European Size w Rails.

Direct from France, this antique French bed, with headboard, footboard AND original rails! The headboard and footboard are identical, with a stunning serpentine form, having wide banded edging with scalloped, carved edge recessed center panels and lower carved cabriole legs. Original rails have an elegant serpentine shape with scalloped trim. Fabulous construction by craftsmen of the period; note this is a European size bed and needs modification for US sizing. Circa1900.

Measurements: Headboard, 50.75” ht. x 61.25” x 2”. Footboard, 39.25” ht. x 61.25”. Rails are 76.5” length. This bed is a European size, which can easily be converted to an American size by a variety of methods: (1) purchasing inexpensive metal adapters online or (2) removing the rails and attaching the headboard and footboard to a universal metal bed frame.
