Antique French Carved Oak Renaissance Cherub Crib Cradle Carriage Market Cart
Antique French Carved Oak Victorian Renaissance Cherub Crib Cradle Market Cart
~Direct from France~
~One of the most unique French antiques we have found in YEARS! We believe it was originally a baby crib for French aristocracy, most probably a commissioned piece, given the ornate carvings~
~Splendid details of cherubs, some dancing, playing musical instruments, reading, picking fruits. Some with outstretched wings on the back crown; some playing with a ram/sheep on the outer front~
~Note the spindles are all carved, as well as the upper edge; turned baluster upper posts; wood wheels~
~Outstanding quality throughout, well built by craftsmen of the period~
~Imagine the uses for this; certainly it would be the focal point in a child’s room or a doll room, and a one-of-a-kind display ‘cart’ for your entrance/foyer or kitchen. For someone with a retail storefront, imagine it as a display piece for your merchandise/textiles/clothing, etc~
