~Stunning hand carved details, definitely above average quality, as you can tell with one glance to the massive carvings. The table legs have dimensional French shells on the knees with foliate and scrolls down the legs and flourishes on the feet!~
~Wide apron features carved shell cartouche on all four sides with French flourishes framing the ends of each apron side~
~Very thick and luscious carvings, most probably a commissioned piece for a French aristocrat!~
~Solid oak, heavy and strong, well built by craftsmen of the period~

Good condition for its age, with normal signs of age, use, dings, scratches and imperfections. Table can be extended to over 12 ft. BUT LEAVES ARE NOT INCLUDED. Chips, damage to lower feet, as happens over the years. Staining to the table top.
