Direct from England, an outstanding antique barley twist library table in richly grained walnut, offering distinctive Jacobean styling and warm country house character so sought after today.

The beveled edge rectangular top rests over a full length drawer with an aged iron lock and escutcheon, all supported by dramatic oversized barley twist legs joined by a substantial shaped and scalloped stretcher surmounted by a large turned center finial.

The bold silhouette and dramatic barley twist legs provide a strong English country house presence, equally useful as a library table, writing desk, or center table.  Quality throughout with dovetailed drawer; well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1880.

Measurements:  29” Height x 40.75” Width x 26” Depth.  Height below drawer, 23”.
