~Henry(sometimes known as Henri) Schouten was born in Indonesia in 1857, and studied at the Academy in Brussels from 1876 until 1881. An expert animal painter, best known for painting farmyard scenes of animals in their environment~

Condition
Good condition for its age, normal signs of age, use, dings, scratches, imperfections. Canvas has some scratches through the paint, with pinhead size hole on the right side. It has not been repaired or cleaned. Some repairs to the giltwood frame. Included multiple photos should be considered as an integral part of the description; please email with any questions prior to making a purchase.
