19th century French Chest End Table Louis XVI Carved Oak Laurel Wreath Commode.
Direct from France, a highly carved antique chest, versatile smaller size, excellent for use in a foyer, as an end table or nightstand. Three large drawers, each having a center carved laurel wreath with French ribbons and geometric blocks with carved rosette corners on either side.
Carved ribbon on the upper apron, and carved priory arches on the lower. Upper drawer has lock and key!! Quality throughout with pegged construction; well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1890.
Measurements: 36” ht. x 26.75” x 15.75”.
