18th Century French Walnut Side Sofa Table Barley Twist Desk Louis XIII.
Direct from France, this incredible 19th century French center table or writing desk. Fabulous, thick, hand turned barley twist legs with large, pegged block joints. Superb quality is exhibited with the presence of barley twist side stretchers and full-length barley twist cross stretcher surmounted by a large turned finial. The large, solid top extends over a wide frieze that includes a full-length front drawer with metal escutcheon, lock and key.
Quality throughout with its pegged joints and dovetailed drawer; hand built by craftsmen of the period, circa1790.

28”ht. x 41.5” x 25.5”.
