Direct from France, a wonderful petite antique French hall bench, with a charming combination of French style and versatile size.
Intricate Brittany details include a carved upper rail over an open turned spindle panel with a large carved ship’s wheel design below, as well as a similar pattern on the lower front.
Turned balusters support the sweeping carved arms; all of the panels are fully carved, include both side panels!
Bench top lifts to provide generous interior storage.
Quality throughout, pegged construction joints, well built by craftsmen of the period, circa1890.
Measurements: 39” ht. x 41” x 16.5”. 18.25” seat height.
